Wouldn’t it be great if the toolbar contained buttons for the commands you actually use all the time - instead of the commands that came with it? Well - you can change the toolbar so that it DOES contain buttons for the commands you really use.
Right-click on any toolbar, and click on Customize.
The Customize window will appear.
Click on the “Commands” tab at the top of the Customize window.
In the left pane (under Categories:) scroll until you see the name of the Menu under which the command appears - for example, the insert row command is on the Insert menu.
In the right pane (under Commands:) the commands will appear.
Click and drag the appropriate command from the right pane and drop it in the toolbar, wherever you would like it to appear.
Click on the Close button on the Customize window.
To Remove a Button
Right click anywhere on the toolbar
A quick-menu will appear.
Click on Customize in the Quick Menu.
The Customize window will appear.
Click and drag the button you want to remove, and drop it anywhere on the spreadsheet. It will disappear.
To Reset the Toolbar to the Original Buttons
If you decide you’d like the toolbar to be set up the way it was before you customized it, you can simply reset it.
