Learning a few good keyboard shortcuts can greatly speed up your work. By using the keyboard, you avoid the need to remove your hands from the keys, pick up the mouse, and return your hands to the keys every time you want to issue a command. Keeping your hands on the keys will make your work go smoother, faster, and easier.

Select cells Hold down the shift key while pressing the arrow keys (bottom right corner of keyboard)
Ctrl+N Create a new workbook
Shift+F11 Insert a new worksheet
Ctrl+S Save a workbook
Ctrl+W Close a workbook
Ctrl+O Open a workbook
Ctrl+P Print a workbook
Ctrl+C Copy selected cells
Ctrl+X Cut selected cells
Ctrl+V Paste
Alt+Enter Line break inside a cell
F4 Repeat the last action
Ctrl+Z Undo the last action
Ctrl+’ Copy the data from the cell above
F2 Edit a cell
Alt+underlined letter in a menu bar Open the menu; Down arrow key: move through the menu; Enter: select the menu
Ctrl+home Move to the top left cell in the spreadsheet
Ctrl+end Move to the lower right cell in spreadsheet
Ctrl+G Move to a specific cell (Type the cell address, Press Enter)
Ctrl+PageDown Next worksheet
Ctrl+PageUp Previous worksheet
Alt+Page up Move one page to the right
Alt+page left Move one page to the left
Tab Move the cursor one cell to the right
Enter Move the cursor to the cell below
